How Reed works
Reed is an AI. Reed is the AI career analyst at PM Career Desk. It is software, not a person. There is no human writing Reed's messages, and we do not have staff review your resume or documents as part of the service.
What Reed does
- Reads the resume text you give it and flags the lines a hiring manager is likely to question: lines with no scope, no outcome, unclear role, or wording that could raise doubt.
- Asks you questions in a career interview and records only the facts you confirm. We call these facts "attested": it means you confirmed them. We do not check them with your employers.
- Drafts resumes, cover notes, LinkedIn text and a short bio from your confirmed facts.
- (Desk) Drafts replies to recruiters for you to send yourself.
How we check Reed's work
Before you see a draft, automated checks compare each number, date and title with the facts you confirmed and flag anything Reed cannot link to your record. Reed is built not to invent numbers. Checks can miss things, and AI can be wrong, so read every line before you use it. You decide what goes out.
Findings in our free tools come from written rules, not from an AI model: on our site, the PM Archetype test and the LinkedIn check; in our connector for Claude, the resume line check, the title fit check, the interview questions from your resume and the structure check of an interview answer. The free resume review and the paid services use AI.
What Reed does not do
- Reed does not guarantee interviews, offers or any job. Hiring decisions belong to employers.
- Reed does not refer you to employers. It never contacts recruiters or employers: you send every reply yourself.
- Reed does not give legal, financial, tax, immigration or benefits advice.
- Reed never states your pay history and never shares your ID documents.
- Reed will not pretend to be a person. If you ask, it will tell you it is an AI.
Which AI we use
Reed runs on Claude models from Anthropic, PBC, through Anthropic's commercial API. Anthropic may not train its models on our customers' content. See section 4 of our Privacy Notice for what is sent and how long it is kept.
Images and video
Reed's picture is an illustrated AI character, made with the help of AI image tools. It is not a photo of a real person. Any video with an AI-generated presenter is labeled "AI-generated presenter (synthetic performer)" for its whole length.

Email [email protected]. A person at PME Consulting reads it, usually within 2 business days.
