Terms of Service
These Terms are an agreement between you and PME Consulting, Inc., 6545 Market Ave N, Ste 100, Canton, OH 44721 ("PME", "we", "us"), which provides PM Career Desk (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and live in the United States. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you may accept these Terms for it.
2. What the Service is, and what it is not
PM Career Desk is resume and interview software for project, program and product managers and related professionals: AI writing tools that help you present your own work, and interview practice. It offers free website tools, a free AI resume review, and paid software: Career Build (a guided career interview and documents built from the facts you confirm: resumes, cover notes, LinkedIn text, a short bio), Desk (tailoring for jobs you bring and drafts of replies to recruiters) and the Interview Coach Pass.
Self service. You run Career Build and Desk yourself, and you approve every document and every message before it is used. No person at PME reviews, edits or approves your documents or messages before you see them.
Interview Coach Pass. The Interview Coach Pass is automated interview practice software that you use inside Claude: it suggests likely interview questions from your resume and a job posting you bring, and checks the structure of your practice answers by fixed rules. There is no live coach, and no person reviews your answers.
Reed is an AI. Reed, our resume analyst, is an artificial intelligence system, not a person. Reviews and documents are prepared with an AI model and checked by automated rules. No person reviews each one. AI output can be wrong or incomplete.
No promise of results. No verbal or written promise or guarantee of any job or employment is made or implied. We do not promise interviews, offers or any other result. Hiring decisions are made only by employers.
Not a placement service. PM Career Desk does not place candidates, does not refer candidates to employers, does not receive payment from employers and does not charge based on any job outcome. We do not contact employers for you and do not obtain or attempt to obtain employment for you.
Not professional advice. PM Career Desk and Reed provide general information and writing help. They do not provide legal, financial, tax, immigration or benefits advice, and using the Service does not create an attorney-client or other professional relationship. The Service is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney or other qualified professional.
3. Your account
Keep your sign-in email secure. You are responsible for activity in your account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else used it.
4. Your content and your responsibility for it
- Your Content is the resume, answers, facts and other material you give us.
- Accuracy is yours. Documents we prepare state facts you confirmed. "Attested" means you confirmed a fact; we do not check it with your employers. Before you use any document, check that every statement is true. Do not ask the Service to invent or inflate experience, titles, dates or results.
- Do not upload Social Security or other government ID numbers, bank or card numbers, health information or salary history. We try to remove sensitive details automatically, but you are responsible for what you upload.
- Other people's information. If you send us recruiter emails, job postings or references, you confirm you may share them with us for this purpose. Job postings and third-party material remain the property of their owners.
5. Ownership and license
- You own Your Content. As between you and us, you also own the resumes, letters and other documents we generate for you from Your Content ("Deliverables"), and we assign to you whatever rights we have in them. Deliverables are drafted with AI and may not qualify for copyright protection; we do not promise they are unique.
- License to us. You give us a limited license to host, store, process and transform Your Content and Deliverables only to provide the Service to you, including sending text to our AI provider as described in the Privacy Notice, and, only in anonymous and aggregated form, to improve the Service and publish statistics as described in the Privacy Notice. We do not use Your Content to train AI models and do not publish it. The license ends when Your Content is deleted, except for anonymous statistics already published.
- Our property. We and our licensors keep all rights in the Service, our software, the PM Career Desk name and brand, the Reed character, and our templates and rules. You may not resell the Service or use it to build a competing product or dataset.
6. Sending on your behalf (Desk)
This section applies only once this part of the service opens. It is not in effect yet.
7. Acceptable use
Do not: use the Service to deceive an employer or anyone else; upload content you have no right to share; try to access other users' data; scrape, overload or reverse engineer the Service; use automated means to create accounts or earn referral rewards; or break the law.
8. Free tools, waitlist and referral rewards
Free tools may change or stop at any time. Joining a waitlist does not reserve a price or a place. Referral rewards follow the Referral Rules; rewards are services with no cash value. We may end the program with notice and remove rewards gained by abuse.
9. Paid plans
- Prices and plans are shown before you pay. Prices exclude applicable sales tax unless shown otherwise.
- Seller of record. Career Build, Desk and the Interview Coach Pass are sold through Link, the merchant of record service of Stripe (Stripe Managed Payments). Link is the seller of record for your payment: it calculates and collects sales tax, sends your receipt, and your card statement shows the charge as LINK.COM* PMCAREERDESK. Link handles payment support, and Stripe may refund a payment within 60 days of purchase. PME provides the Service itself under these Terms.
- Interview Coach Pass. The Pass is a one-time payment for the period shown at checkout (30 or 90 days of access). It does not renew automatically, and nothing is charged again when it ends. To ask for a refund of a Pass, write to [email protected]; Stripe may refund a Pass payment within 60 days of purchase.
- Automatic renewal. Monthly plans renew automatically every month at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. If your plan starts at a founding or promotional price, the checkout page states when and to what amount the price changes, and we email you before the change.
- Cancel online. You can cancel any time in Account > Billing, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds. Career Build: ask within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, as long as you have not downloaded or exported your final documents. After you download, refunds are limited to cases where we did not deliver what the Pricing page describes, we charged you in error, or the law requires one. Monthly plans: no refunds for part of a month already paid, except billing errors, charges after you cancelled, or where the law requires; if you have not used Desk in your first 7 days, ask for a refund of your first payment; and if your price goes up after a founding or promotional period, you may cancel within 14 days after the first charge at the new price and receive a pro rata refund for the unused part of that month. Refunds go to the original card within 5 business days.
- Three-business-day cancellation. You may cancel any paid plan within three business days after purchase for a full refund. For Career Build, this applies until you download or export your final documents, except that residents of California and New Jersey keep the full three-business-day right in any case.
- Where plans are offered. Paid plans are not offered in some states. The checkout page shows availability for your state.
10. Electronic communications
You agree that we may give you contracts, notices, receipts and other communications electronically, by email or in the product, and that they satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing. You can ask for a paper copy of any of them free of charge at [email protected]. You need an email account and a current web browser to use the Service. You may withdraw this consent by closing your account.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on providers such as our AI provider, network and hosting providers, email delivery and payments. If you use PM Career Desk tools inside Claude, Anthropic's terms also apply to your use of Claude.
12. Changes and availability
We may change or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces a paid plan you already paid for, we will tell you in advance and offer a pro rata refund for the unused period. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control.
13. Ending your use
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in your settings. We may suspend or end accounts that break these Terms. Sections 4, 5 (for published anonymous statistics), 13, 14, 15 and 16 survive.
14. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities or earnings, and our total liability for all claims is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.
- These limits do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct or any liability that cannot be limited by law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that you have under the law of your state and that cannot be waived.
15. Disputes and governing law
- Talk to us first. Before filing a claim, contact [email protected] and describe the issue. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
- Small claims. Either of us may bring an individual claim in small claims court in your county of residence or in Stark County, Ohio, if it qualifies.
- Governing law and courts. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, where PME Consulting, Inc. is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Claims not brought in small claims court go to the state courts in Stark County, Ohio, or the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, unless the law of your state gives you the right to sue where you live.
16. Notice to California users
This section applies only once this part of the service opens. It is not in effect yet.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the product at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the new Terms apply. Changes do not apply to disputes that arose before the change.
